Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

Begin the day with an early breakfast, then visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and honor the victims of the 1994 genocide. After the memorial visit, continue your journey to Volcanoes National Park. On arrival, tour the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, home to the inspiring Gorilla Conservation Exhibit. Overnight: Gorillas Volcanoes Hotel or similar

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Uganda

After breakfast, head to Kinigi Park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your first gorilla trek. Hike through lush rainforest and spend a magical hour with a habituated gorilla family. Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking in Mgahinga

Following an early breakfast, transfer to Ntebeko ranger station a head of golden monkey tracking experience. These endangered primates are known for their playful behavior and agility. Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Start the day early with another thrilling gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Enjoy an hour observing a different gorilla family in their natural environment. Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi to Queen Elizabeth NP (Ishasha Sector)

Day 6: Ishasha to Northern Queen Elizabeth NP

Day 7 Game Drives and Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Day 8 Transfer to Kibale National Park

Leave Queen Elizabeth National Park after a leisurely breakfast and head to Kibale Forest National Park. En route, stop at the equator line in Kikorongo for photos and a brief tour. Kibale is home to the highest concentration of primates in Africa. Overnight: Chimpanzee Forest Lodge or similar

Day 9 Community Visit and Chimpanzee Tracking

Visit a local community in the morning for a cultural experience, then venture into Kibale Forest in the afternoon for a chimpanzee trek. Day 10: Transfer to Akagera National Park

After an early breakfast, travel back into Rwanda toward Akagera National Park. This scenic drive offers a shift from forest to savannah and prepares you for classic big-game wildlife encounters. Overnight: Akagera Game Lodge or similar

Day 11: Full-Day Safari in Akagera National Park

Day 12: Return to Kigali and Departure

After a relaxing breakfast, transfer back to Kigali, arriving in time for your outbound flight. You’ll be dropped off at the airport for your 5:40 PM departure on Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 806 to Addis Ababa, marking the end of an incredible journey.
